Nine FRIDAY FORAYS, walks in the woods to discover, learn, ground, collaborate, visit with other like minded folks also passionate for meeting plants. Our National Forests are treasures that belong to our hearts. Come for a walk (or two) and discover herbs and edibles in our forests. You are invited to join Gail Burkett and / or Lauren Gonsalves. Come, take a slow but invigorating adventure into the world of wild plants and possibly medicinals. We leave Grouse Creek Gardens at 12 and return by 4 or 5, depending on the destination. Guided tours into plant medicine mysteries for a donation. 310 Grouse Creek Road, off Samuels Road.

Kids’ Camp Walay’la – Session One: July 11th, 12th, & 13th day camp, 2-nights sleep over camp is July 18th, 19th, & 20th.
Camp Walay’la has served our community for 11 years and offers an ideal nature setting for summer fun and imaginative activities. Hattie invites you, the wonderful parents of these wonder~filled children to plan your own rest and renewal time, at the same time that your children come to camp. Activities include hiking, swimming, tubing, archery, a 16 foot climbing wall, and an amazing maze! Play acting, story telling, nature crafting, shelter building, talent shows and festivals are part of each session.

Time: Drop off at 9am, pick up at 2pm

Gail is a women’s development advocate, native Idahoan – 4th generation, and an herbal gardener.
Hattie Goodman
Hattie Goodman, Waldorf teacher for 20 years and Camp Director for 10 years, loves to teach young and old alike. Her knowledge and skills run like still, deep waters. Living indigenously for 15 years in Guatemala and Peru, she became fluent in Spanish, weaving, and growing food. Hattie’s deep connection to the creation, her hands work in harmony with the seasons and In loving partnership with the earth.
