Candidates’ Forum
Forest – Water – Climate: Creating Polices for Our Future

The decisions made by our elected officials will impact all of us. This forum is an opportunity for the public to have a voice in directing the policies of our future. The forum will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 6-9 p.m. at the new Panhandle State Bank building, 414 Church Street in Sandpoint. It will address land use policy issues vital to our region’s future, such as water resources, the role of forests in water protection, and the impact of climate change.

The evening will begin with some time for audience members to informally meet the candidates. A brief presentation on the challenges facing our community will follow. The candidates will then introduce themselves, and answer questions from the audience. Hosting the program are ClimateCAN (Climate Change Action Network) and the Model Forest Policy Program.

Thanks to our official supporters, all 22 of them!
